Make money from FIT’s

Wind turbines now offer excellent investment potential since the advent of FIT’s (Feed-In Tariff), where the government offers an incentive payment for every unit of electricity generated by your wind turbine. This is in addition to the electricity savings you will make, and on top of any revenue from the sale of excess electricity back to the grid. You can Download a guide to FIT’s here.

Site Survey

After an initial desktop survey has confirmed the potential viability of your site for a wind turbine, the next step is a technical site survey.

The desktop survey will include an assesment of your windspeed. You can check this using the Wind Speed Calculator

We will also make assessment of your proposed site using aerial photography. You can have a look at this yourself, using Google Earth

Following this we will make an initial assesment of which wind turbine and size is best suited to your energy demand and budget, and give you a budget indication which we will work within.

We do not charge anything for our initial asssesments, and there is no obligation at all to proceed.

The Site Survey includes:

An energy generation estimate taking into account geographic and site specific factors
An assesment of the potential impact of the proposed system on neighbours
Obtaining energy usage of the property and the impact that the system will have on this
Addressing issues regarding connecting the system to the electricity grid (If you decide to proceed with an application for connection to the grid, there is a charge for this)
Site specific access issues that might impact the installation or maintenance of the system
Obtain sufficiently detailed information, photographs and measurements to allow a subsequent planning application to be made. We can help you with the planning application, or you can hand the whole application over for us to handle.
