Underfloor heating delivers a near perfect temperature profile between floor and ceiling due to a balance between radiant and convected heat. These systems are super efficient because they operate at much lower temperatures than conventional radiator systems and utilise a thermal store. This minimises running costs and maximises CO2 savings by consuming less fuel.

Water based underfloor heating systems work by running warm water through coils of embedded pipe work which heats the floor. This effectively turns the floor into a very large radiator. Since the floor gives a large heated area, a low floor temperature is required to maintain a comfortable environment. A heat pump, with its lower operating temperatures, is therefore ideal for running this system.

5 Layer Composite Pipe
