Ground Loop Installation
If sufficient space is available, the installation of ground loops can be a highly efficient, therefore cost effective, way of running a heat pump system. Ideally an installation is carried out during the major groundworks stage of a build to minimise ground disturbance. The process itself is quite simple;Trenches are dug and a base laid if necessary, our engineers then lay the piping into the trenches. The pipe runs as a loop back to the exterior manifold (usually within a manhole). The trenches are then backfilled, and the ground reinstated ready for landscaping.
Borehole Drilling
Where space is at a premium, but maximum efficiencies are still sought for running a ground source heat pump, boreholes are the solution. A borehole has minimum visual impact, and provides excellent efficiencies in the extraction of heat from the ground.
