New Government makes 10:10 commitment

The new Prime Minster, David Cameron, and Secretary of State for the Department of Energy and Climate Change, Chris Huhne, have committed to reducing central government carbon emissions by 10% in 12 months. Taking their lead from the popular 10:10 campaign, the Prime Minister and Secretary of State predicted that, if successful, they could save millions of pounds on the Government’s energy bills.

The 10:10 campaign encourages individuals, communities and businesses to reduce their carbon emissions by 10% in one year.
