Closure of the Low Carbon Buildings Programme

The Government has announced the closure of the Low Carbon Buildings Programme to all new applicants with immediate effect. The closure of this programme is part of the Government’s drive to reduce public spending by £6bn. The Low Carbon Buildings Programme was a Government initiative which offered grants towards the installation of renewable technologies.

The Programme was due to be phased out next February to make way for the Renewable Heat Incentive and Feed in Tariff.
