Case Study - Ground Source Heat Pump - Mr & Mrs Iddon, Cumbria
Mr & Mrs Iddon installled a ground source heat pump at their barn conversion in Cumbria. They made the decision to switch from an oil fired heating system so that they could free themselves from the worry of rising oil prices.
EcoLogicLiving provided a complete service, including groundworks for 300m of ground loops.
Mr & Mrs Iddon didn’t know much about heat pumps until they moved to their barn conversion, but had heard that they were a really efficient way of running an underfloor heating system like they had installed.
Mr Iddon enthuses “We are thrilled with the system. We have a perfect temperature in the house 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with much lower running costs than we were experiencing with oil. This gives us peace of mind for the future that our heating system is reliable and affordable.”
“EcoLogic Living were able to take the hassle out of the whole process of changing our system, we were just able to hand over the reins to them, and let them get on with it”
Project details:
A Danfoss 8kw DHP-H was used in the property, located in an attached garage, fed by a 300m ground loop. The property had previously installed underfloor heating throughout.
